What Is the Alvin and Sunny Domroe Scholarship?
This scholarship is designed for high school seniors in Martin County, Florida, who are the children of military veterans and who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study during the 2026–2027 academic year. The program honors the service of veterans by supporting their children’s educational goals.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

Be the child of a military veteran
(A copy of the biological parent’s or step-parent’s DD Form 214 must be submitted with the application.) -
Be a current high school senior attending one of the following schools in Martin County, Florida:

Clark Advanced Learning Center

Indiantown High School

Jensen Beach High School
-
Martin County High School
-
South Fork High School
-
Spectrum Academy
-

Plan to enroll full-time in an undergraduate program at an accredited:

Two-year college

Four-year college or university

Vocational-technical school

Be enrolled for the entire 2026–2027 academic year
Selection Criteria
Scholarship recipients are selected based on a comprehensive review of:

Academic performance
-
Leadership and participation in school and community activities

Work experience
-
A personal statement outlining educational and career goals

Unusual personal or family circumstances
-
A short essay describing what it means to be a child of a military veteran
Financial need is not considered in the selection process.

(Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must include the student’s name, school name, grades, and credit hours.) -
A copy of the parent’s DD Form 214

SAT or ACT scores (only if not listed on the high school transcript)
