The Merit Recognition Scholarship is awarded to a limited number of National Merit Finalists who list Michigan State University as their first-choice institution.
Award Benefits:

Room and board in an MSU residence hall (double occupancy) with a Silver Meal Plan.

Renewable for up to eight semesters (four academic years).
Students who achieve sophomore standing or higher and have lived in MSU housing for at least one year may qualify for on-campus apartment housing while keeping equivalent benefits.
Please note that off-campus housing is not included in this scholarship package.
